The Kerry Spot linked to Protein Wisdom: very funny! Here's a quote, of his take on Kerry, but for the funny (and just slightly risque) part, you have to follow the link:
Whatever you need, it’s yours. Need a job? You got it. Need a higher living wage? Done. Need cheap, universal healthcare? I’m your man. Need a better education? Have at it, paid in full. Relying on social security for your retirement? I’ll put it in a lock box. Also, Kerry Spot (National Review) is right on the money in saying that Kerry looked old and tired. Oh, did he ever look bad. Husband and I thought he looked like an old woman (Husband: "Kind of like that optical illusion in Psych 101 where the old crone can turn into the young woman... Kerry looks like the old crone.") He was boring as heck, droned on and on about obscure statistics.
Bush, on the other hand, looked young, healthy, happy. He was as passionate as he could be about everything discussed: Faith, family, freedom, the future. He was [UPDATE: Wow, I stayed up too late last night; never finished that sentence, and never even noticed till this morning! And today: no clue as to what I was going to say.]
OK, now let's get out there and WORK for this good President! And pray, and vote, and then pray some more.

I agree, Kerry did look old and tired, except when he was talking about Bush's family, and somewhat about his.
Did you see the look Teresa(sp?) gave to her husband as he came to claim her from the audience at the end? I suddenly felt very sorry for the both of them; the contrast was so stark. Call it my imagination, but I was filled with this sense of two people who probably don't like themselves very much and don't know why. Maybe it's a lack of identity. Look at George Bush, who - at least to all appearances - makes God a part of his life, his marriage, and his work, and seems to listen to Him or at least seek His guidance. Look at the respect he and his wife have for each other. Bush seems comfortable with who he is, and doesn't seem to derive his identity from his political office. He doesn't act like an out-of-touch rich guy.
I think Kerry is bewildered by the way his Catholic identity seems to backfire on him; and not that I am in a position to judge, I am fortunate that no camera crew is coming here to document my faith walk (and falls) on national TV. But maybe he is just in that position of so many, who bought that generic religion package that has been offered for the past 40 years, and don't understand why something seems to be missing. Respect for one's religious teachings isn't the same as having respect for, say, someone else's bill in the Senate; it's nice, but you have a better idea.
Anyway, we should work harder than ever for W, and pray harder than ever for all of them.
