My husband's brother, Bill, died very suddenly on Wednesday. He was only 58, two years younger than their father had been when he died of cancer in 1980.
The wake was Friday and the funeral was Saturday, in the Chicago area.
Just now I browsed Bill's online guest book, and then the online guest book of his sister's father-in-law, Nick Gonnella, who died last month. Bill had left a very touching comment on Mr. Gonnella's guest book -- exactly one month to the day before he himself died.
You just never know from one minute to the next. As I always tell my children: Always be ready. Be the faithful servant who doesn't know the hour of the master's return. Always have your soul ready to meet your maker.
Please pray for soul of my brother-in-law Bill, and for the soul of Mr. Nick Gonnella.
They will both be missed.
